We support with PE assessments and lesson plans detailed to the National Curriculum as part of our training programme to give teachers greater use of their Planning, Preparation and Assessment (PPA) time.
Sessions are bespoken to the needs of your school and staff involved.

Our school services can be a highly effective use of funding to improve and sustain the quality of PE and School Sport, showing evidence of impact against the 5 key indicators:
- The engagement of all pupils in regular activity.
AFL Sport prioritises inclusive and fun physical activity for pupils of all abilities. The emphasis on all our sessions being fun, engaging and challenging, has proven to increase pupil’s involvement and enjoyment in physical activity and sport
- The profile of PE and sport is raised across the school as a tool for whole-school improvement.
From our experience, the profile of PE and Sport is easily raised within schools when lessons are fun and interactive. AFL Sport aims to reframe physical activity in schools and embed it as an integral part of the learner’s daily routine through engaging sessions. Our Play Leadership Programme empowers pupils to have the confidence to organise and lead structured games during play. We have also recognised that a designated sports board that focuses on school games, PE performance and sporting events raises the overall profile and engagement of PE and Sports within schools
- Increased confidence, knowledge and skills of all staff in teaching PE and Sport.
Qualified and experienced coaches to work with school staff to help them deliver PE and Sport effectively and with confidence. Our coaches work closely with class teachers using our schemes of work, assessment methods and lesson plans, which are easily adapted to the needs of your class. We train Midday Supervisors to assist and deliver effective play and physical activity during the lunchtime period
- Broader experience of a range of sports and activities offered to all pupils.
Our high-quality coaches deliver a wide range of sport activities. We offer unique and fun lunchtime and afterschool clubs to encourage pupils to participate in physical activity and sport. This broadens their exposure to different sports and helps their Long-term Athletic Development (LTAD). Each activity or sport can be tailored to suit the requirements of each school and can be adapted to suit all Key Stage levels
- Increased participation in competitive sport.
Management and delivery of sports competitions within school and against other schools. Our staff liaise with School PE Leads to establish and prepare for upcoming events and ensure representation from your school at a variety of different sports events throughout the academic year. We also offer bespoke sessions for ‘Gifted & Talented’ pupils to enhance their development in sport.

AFL Sport Lunchtime Clubs are designed to facilitate active and fun physical activity and sport for all. We help to ensure pupils partake in 60 minutes of physical activity per day, in line with the Public Health England guidance.
We aim to support schools by managing the lunch break period with structured activities on the playground and inside the building e.g., sports hall. Our extra-curricular activities expose pupils to many forms of physical activity and sports in an enjoyable way and level to ensure they are comfortable throughout the session. We also encourage pupils, when confident enough, to participate in sports within their local community to support their physical development on a wider level.
Our Lunchtime Clubs aim to increase pupil well-being and create a happier environment for pupils and staff members. We dedicate a percentage of our time to teach and support staff members on reducing low level disruption during these sessions. This is usually done through advice and observations of coaches when dealing with poor sport behaviour from pupils.
Lunchtime clubs can be used as dedicated time for those considered ‘Gifted & Talented’ as well as pupils of lower abilities, to have more time within the school day to develop their skills. It can also be used as a reward for good behaviour for individual pupils or whole class.
Our coaches have DBS clearance and have up-to-date first aid training. We are all trained and experienced in working with young people of all levels and needs.
AFL Sport believe we are the right people to support lunchtime at your school.

AFL Sport Afterschool Clubs are provided as part of a school’s extra-curricular activities programme. Afterschool clubs are aimed to be active, fun and challenging to aid children’s development and learning in sport.
Delivered in a safe environment, our sessions facilitate the physical, mental and emotional development of all pupils involved. This enables them to improve their physical ability, social skills and confidence whilst having fun.
We offer a variety of clubs that meet the demands of your school. Ranging from different specific sports to multi-skill sessions. All sessions focus on the fundamental skills required for a sports activity and how they can be implemented in game-like scenarios.
Our afterschool sessions are inclusive for all. Pupils of all abilities interact with one another to help children understand the importance of respecting individual differences and understand that despite the difference, everyone is included when it comes to physical activity and sport.
All sessions are delivered by qualified coaches that have met the enhanced checks through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

We aim to develop young leaders who can be a positive influence on others in and outside the school.
We have a unique mentorship programme called MTI (More Time In) catered to further develop those who wish to take an extra step in their physical activity journey and wish to take a leadership role. Our team is passionate and dedicated to ensuring every child feels appreciated and valued, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
